Hearth & Horizon

I might just be the queen of half-finished projects. Instead of leaving a little sparkle wherever I go, I tend to leave a trail of abandoned notebooks, half-finished projects, and whatever ambitious idea caught my attention that week. You would think I would have learned to rein it in after three decades. Which leads us to this moment. I'm staring at my computer screen, wondering why I would want to write a blog. There's a small voice in my head insisting it's presumptuous to think anyone would want to read what I have to say. But there's an even smaller voice reminding me that this itch has been surfacing on and off for the last few years. Then, I remind myself: it's the internet. People post every thought they've ever had. Every meal they've eaten. Every mildly interesting thing their dog did this afternoon.
